Eve recibió un B.S. de la
Universidad de Cornell y un M.F.A. en pintura del Brooklyn College en 1990.
Exhibe su trabajo en la First Street Gallery en la ciudad de Nueva York.
"Mi principal interés
ha sido pintar la figura humana en un espacio interior. He estado lidiando con
los problemas de combinar un formato de gran tamaño, tradicionalmente el lugar
de la pintura pública e histórica, con, en cambio, un énfasis en lo privado y
lo doméstico. Veo los bodegones como muy relacionados con las pinturas de
figuras. A menudo, muchos de los mismos objetos existen en ambos. En mis
bodegones más recientes he estado pensando en las posesiones y su legado. Como
en las pinturas de figuras, me gustaría que las naturalezas muertas puedan
tener varios niveles de significado. A menudo hay un sentido del juego de
palabras para ellos y también una cualidad literaria. Estoy buscando una
pintura equivalente para la forma en que, en una novela, una caracterización
puede ser transmitida por la forma en que se presenta la superficie de las
cosas".
